Trinity Bay Fishing Report

FAIR. 67 degrees. Water is beginning to clear and fish are being found on shorelines, especially on the northwest side. Speckled trout bite has been good for those throwing soft plastics, scattered reds mixed in. Further north catches have been mixed. Anglers throwing live shrimp have caught reds, black drum, and speckled trout. Report…

FAIR. 67 degrees. Better numbers of speckled trout showing up along the northwest shoreline of Trinity bay, same with Tabbs, Burnett, and Scott Bays. Lots of undersized fish, to go along with keeper size trout. Black drum catches are fair, a few oversized drums are caught and released. Redfish bite is slow for most anglers….

FAIR. 67 degrees. Water continues to salt up, but winds have not been favorable. Best water and catches of trout have come from the northwest region of upper Galveston bay and Tabbs Bay. Black drum and sheepshead, along with a few redfish are showing up on shallow shell. Best bite on live shrimp

FAIR. 58 degrees. Water conditions are improving along the upper northwest corner of the bay. Back of Trinity remains fresh. Scattered trout, redfish, black drum, and sheepshead being caught on live shrimp. Sylvan beach shoreline producing a few speckled trout on soft plastics

SLOW. 58 degrees. Few reports while the bay is freshwater. Best chances will be to fish along the northwest and western shoreline around Dow’s Reef. Bays along the upper ship channel should begin to clear on each incoming tide

Upper end of Trinity Bay, Tabbs, Scott, and Burnett have been slow, with few anglers finding trout, along with some sheepshead and black drum. Runoff from recent rains could affect this area
